Job Description

•Long Term contract positions with occasional Midwest travel (Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana, etc.) but primarily Chicago-based.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE 1.
Central Office (CO) Experience This is the #1 requirement. Former Central Office Technicians Central Office Installation Technicians Lumen, CenturyLink, AT&T, Verizon, Frontier, Windstream, Consolidated, etc. CO backgrounds Experience working inside telecom central offices, wire centers, switching facilities 2. DC Power Experience (48V) Should have experience with: -48V DC power systems Power disconnects Telecom power infrastructure Equipment shutdown procedures Power removal and decommissioning work 3.
Fiber / Equipment
Decommissioning Should be comfortable with: Fiber grooming Circuit migrations Equipment turn downs Site exits Telecom equipment removal Fiber tracing and testing Working around live networks 4. Strong Telecom Network Knowledge Should understand most of the following:
DWDM SONET

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
