As a leading turnkey service provider in the technology infrastructure space, the Company serves industries such as communications, wireless and wireline, fiber design and deployment, sustainable energies, utilities, oil & gas, and security and defense. Summary The Generator Technician is an Intermediate-level technician with increased independence and improved troubleshooting capabilities. Key Responsibilities Obtain Air-Cooled Generator Certifications Perform maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision Diagnose and troubleshoot common issues Communicate effectively with team members Handle service calls with increasing independence Basic computer proficiency (Excel, file management, email) Follow safety protocols and procedures Other duties assigned Physical Demands This job operates in a field environment. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 50lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods. Must be willing to travel out of the market/state for up to two weeks at a time. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing, and DOT physical. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the crew and the company. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have basic computer skills. Must be able to use and demonstrate intermediate electrical knowledge Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the proper use of common power/hand tools.
Soft Skills :
Must be able to communicate in person, by phone, and by email with team members and clients . Must be able to read, comprehend , and carry out instructions. Must be able to work on a team and independently as required . Supervisory Requirements No supervisory requirements Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 5:00 pm with overtime requirements or as directed by leadership . The work schedule is subject to change depending on market conditions which may require overtime, night work and/or weekend work. Travel Depending on market location and/or conditions, travel may be required . Travel requirements are subject to change.
