Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan . Overview The Electrical Technician II will build, rework, test, repair, and install wiring harnesses on vehicles and the bench, following instructions from blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents. The role requires performing quality checks and collaborating with team members and customers. Responsibilities Assemble, install, perform functional and safety tests, and reverse engineer wiring using hand tools and proper techniques according to work instructions. Install lights, brackets, and electrical hardware to test boxes, automotive components, and vehicles as specified. Test wiring and components for proper operation using schematics and diagnostic equipment. Perform wiring reworks and repairs on bench and vehicle, crimp and solder wires, de-pin terminals, create basic schematics, and reverse engineer harnesses. Maintain shop equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and reporting repairs. Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of electrical work experience Preferred Qualifications Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology or related field Valid driver's license Experience installing components on circuit boards Experience with automotive powertrain systems or electric battery systems We thank all applicants for their interest.
