A-Level Diagnostic Technician $35-$40/Hour DOE + Weekly Performance Bonus | Bozeman, MT We Need a Technician Who Can Find the Problem. Randash Auto Center in Bozeman is looking for an experienced A-Level Diagnostic Technician with strong electrical and drivability skills. We're not looking for someone who replaces parts until the problem goes away. We need someone who can read a wiring diagram, follow a circuit, use professional diagnostic equipment, interpret data, and determine what's actually wrong. This is primarily a diagnostic position—not a heavy-line role. You'll also serve as a technical resource within the shop, helping other technicians work through difficult problems and raising the overall diagnostic capability of the team. What You'll Work On Most of our vehicles are 2014-2019 cars, SUVs, and trucks , both domestic and import. Electrical and drivability diagnostics No-start and hard-start conditions Intermittent electrical problems Modules, wiring, communication systems, and network issues Check-engine lights and warning systems Complex concerns requiring actual testing and diagnosis Scan-tool and live-data analysis Your primary responsibility is to diagnose the problem correctly and help the shop determine the right repair. What We're Looking For Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic ability Experience with professional scan tools and digital multimeters Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams Oscilloscope or lab-scope experience is a plus 5+ years of professional automotive experience preferred Ability to confidently assist and mentor other technicians Own professional hand tools Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record ASE certifications preferred and considered in compensation Real-world diagnostic ability matters just as much as certifications.
