Role & Responsibilities
- Electrical Test Technician National facilities services provider Energy & Power Apply Now On-Site New York, NY $52-67/hr July 29, 2026 Apply Now Our client, a large national facilities and infrastructure services provider, is looking for an Electrical Field Test Technician at NETA 3 or NICET level, or with equivalent experience, to join their Electrical Power Services team in Virginia.
Role & Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start up and collect data on electrical systems
- Maintain, test, repair, rebuild and replace low, medium and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers
- Test and inspect low, medium and high voltage cable installations, and maintain, test and repair transformers
- Test and calibrate solid state and electromechanical relays, and perform relay calibration and power metering
- Conduct low and medium voltage motor control centre and contactor testing, and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches
- Supervise, guide and mentor trainees and assistant technicians, ensuring consistency of testing across the crewSkills & Experience
- NETA 3 or NICET certification, or equivalent field testing experience
- Strong background in electrical power distribution testing and commissioning
- Ability to evaluate test data and prepare clear field service reports
- Experience coaching and supervising junior technicians
- Familiarity with NETA testing standards and
NFPA 70E
electrical safety- Able to travel approximately 25% across the assigned territory and rotate emergency on call duty
