Modification Technician - Portland OR

Department:

Mod Shop

Location:

Fairview, OR About the role: WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Portland OR. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

Primary Responsibilities:

Modify electric motors as per customer specification.

Deliver finished product to designated shipping area

Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.

Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.

Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE

Complete daily equipment operation checklists

Complete daily cleaning assignments

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge / training:

Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred

Understand and follow safety procedures

Strong mechanical assembly experience

Ability to understand and follow written procedures

Ability to use and operate manual tools and power tools in hands-on applications

Forklift operation experience preferred

Ability to use Microsoft Office software

SAP and other business software experience is preferred

Ability to complete assigned modification jobs without assistance

Ability to follow test equipment procedures and interpret test results

Ability to identify physical nonconformities on AC motors

Knowledge to properly identify materials & components for modifications

Ability to assist fellow technicians on modifications

Experience:
