In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems on backup generators. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of complex systems across various client sites, delivering exceptional service and technical solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology while providing outstanding customer support in diverse environments. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair backup power systems with precision and efficiency. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance on backup power systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools, parts, and equipment to job sites. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Collaborate with team members to lead projects or assist in complex repairs that require mechanical knowledge or construction experience. Skills Strong knowledge of backup power equipment maintenance. Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on backup power systems repair and maintenance. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of backup power units. Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) processes in diverse environments. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles safely. Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior team members or managing small projects effectively.
