Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Substation Journeyman to join our growing team. This role involves installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of high-voltage substation equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and experienced working in active substations and utility environments. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair substation electrical equipment including transformers, breakers, switches, relays, and bus systems Perform wiring, terminations, grounding, and conduit installation Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment Work safely around energized and de-energized high-voltage systems Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and utility requirements Collaborate with crew members, foremen, and project managers to complete work efficiently Travel to project sites as required Qualifications Substation Journeyman or equivalent experience Strong understanding of substation construction and electrical systems Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship Preferred Experience Utility or industrial substation experience Experience with GSU units, breakers, and protection & control wiring OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent workload with long-term opportunities Opportunities for growth and advancement Strong team environment focused on safety and development
