Job Description

Dallas, TX A growing electrical contractor specializing in substation construction, commissioning, testing, and maintenance is seeking a Substation Technician / Tester to support projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining substation equipment on a variety of utility and industrial substation projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform testing and commissioning of substation equipment Test protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and associated control systems Utilize testing equipment such as Doble, Omicron, and SEL software Troubleshoot electrical and protection system issues Support maintenance, upgrades, and commissioning efforts on energized and greenfield substations Complete testing reports and commissioning documentation Maintain compliance with all safety standards and client requirements
Qualifications:
Experience as a Relay Technician, P&C Technician, Substation Technician, Electrical Test Technician, or Commissioning Technician Hands-on experience with substation testing and commissioning Knowledge of protective relay systems and substation equipment Familiarity with Doble and/or Omicron testing platforms Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Why Consider This Opportunity?
