Job Description We are seeking a Mid-Level Field Service Engineer to support customer sites throughout the Phoenix metro area, with occasional travel to semiconductor manufacturing facilities across the Western United States. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical process equipment used in advanced manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with electromechanical systems, industrial equipment, or semiconductor tools and enjoy solving complex technical challenges in a customer-facing environment.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of complex electromechanical equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and system documentation.
Support equipment commissioning, startups, upgrades, and customer acceptance activities.
Utilize multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and other diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, service reports, and equipment performance data.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing exceptional technical support.
Ensure compliance with all site safety policies, cleanroom protocols, and LOTO procedures.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to drive equipment reliability and performance improvements.
Travel periodically to customer locations throughout the West Coast to support installations, escalations, and project work. (Approx. 10%) Skills and Requirements 3+ years of experience in a Field Service Engineer, Equipment Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar technical role.
Experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems in manufacturing, semiconductor, automation, industrial, military, or related environments.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Experience using multimeters and other electrical diagnostic tools.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field; equivalent military or industry experience accepted.
