FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
New Haven, CT | Base salary $65,000 to $82,000 depending on experience This role is with a manufacturer of automated laboratory analyzers used for hematology, chemistry, and coagulation testing. The Field Service Engineer will support and maintain robotic lab instrumentation for customers throughout the greater New Haven, CT area. Schedule Full time, field based, with overnight travel required to reach customer sites throughout the New Haven, CT territory. Candidates must reside within the greater New Haven, CT area, as no relocation assistance is provided. Compensation Base salary of $65,000 to $82,000 depending on experience. Overtime and performance bonuses typically add another $4,000 to $8,000 annually. What You'll Do The Field Service Engineer installs, services, and performs preventive maintenance on automated laboratory analyzers at customer sites. This includes troubleshooting electronic and electro mechanical systems, coordinating problem resolution with the Field Support Group, and maintaining an organized inventory of tools and trunk stock (parts) needed for service calls. The role also involves building strong customer relationships and providing basic on site training on the operation of company instrumentation. Required Qualifications Certificate or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in electronics or a related discipline Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer Strong background in electronics and electro mechanical troubleshooting Ability to travel overnight as needed for service calls Must be fully vaccinated against
