Salary:

$65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience + performance bonus

We are recruiting on behalf of a family-owned distributor of high-tech metal fabricating machinery for a Field Service Engineer serving customers throughout North Florida and Southern Georgia. You bring experience servicing, repairing, installing, or troubleshooting industrial machinery, and we will train you on the specific machines that we sell. We're open to candidates with approximately 1-7 years of relevant experience, with starting compensation ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 depending on experience. This is a hands-on field service position working with specialized FLOW waterjet cutting systems and high-pressure equipment. This is specialized industrial field service supporting sophisticated machinery in the field. What You Will Do Troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair FLOW waterjet equipment Diagnose problems across mechanical and electrical systems Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical, and electronic systems Provide on-site technical support at customer locations Provide remote technical support by phone and email when required Assist customers with equipment operation and troubleshooting Identify parts required for equipment repairs Perform routine maintenance on equipment Help establish preventative maintenance schedules with customers Complete service reports and administrative documentation accurately and on time Maintain positive relationships with customers and distributors Serve as a technical liaison between customers and the organization Travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, to resolve equipment issues Work independently in the field with minimal supervision Depending on experience, assist with operator training and higher-level technical guidance Why This Role Is Different Many field service positions involve broad or repetitive maintenance. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Technically strong and hands-on Experienced working with industrial machinery or capital equipment Strong in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Comfortable working independently in the field Professional, presentable, and customer-facing A strong communicator with excellent listening skills Organized and accountable Calm under pressure Strong at diagnosing and solving technical problems Comfortable traveling extensively Able to take initiative with minimal supervision Experience We're looking for approximately 1-7 years of recent service-related experience involving one or more of the following: CNC machine tools Waterjet cutting systems Metal fabricating machinery Robotics Motion control systems Industrial automation Other relevant industrial capital equipment Recent training or experience with microprocessor control systems is strongly preferred. Experience with CNC programming is also valuable. You should have strong hands-on capabilities across: Mechanical systems Electrical and electronic systems Hydraulics Pneumatics Plumbing General diagnostics and troubleshooting Previous FLOW waterjet experience is not required. If you have the right industrial machinery background and technical foundation, you can be trained on the specific equipment.

Education Preferred:

Associate's Degree in Electronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field OR Approximately two years of college or technical school training in a relevant discipline Travel & Requirements This is a high-travel field service position supporting customers throughout North Florida and Southern Georgia.

Candidates must have:

Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability and willingness to travel extensively Ability to travel internationally, including Canada Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Flexibility to travel to customer locations on short notice Willingness to provide after-hours or holiday support when required Overall travel may exceed 90%. Customer visits may sometimes take place outside normal business hours or require extended periods away from home.
