Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Due to continued growth within the USA service team, we have a vacancy for a field service engineer to support our customer base. After completing a training program, you will be involved & responsible for the following activities with regards to our equipment at customers premises: Installation and training Calibration and maintenance Service repair After sales service support / remote troubleshooting and diagnostic support Quoting services to customers
Essential and Desirable Skills:
The successful candidate will: Have a background in mechanical, electronic, or multi-disciplinary engineering Have exceptional computer skills Hold a valid & clean driving license Can work independently while representing Taylor Hobson at customer sites Be prepared to work flexible hours when required Be prepared to assist colleagues in other regions of the world when required Have the will to travel within North America (internationally as needed for training, etc.)
Skills & Experiences:
High energy level with ability to take initiative. Teamwork oriented with collaborative style, pragmatic, multitasking, flexible. Ability to articulate clearly and timely with customers to provide world class service. Drive and collaboration experience to identity process improvement areas Computer fluent, with specific attention to e-mail and Microsoft Office product skills; CRM and service tools. Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact effectively in English. Follow set procedures but can identify when change is required
Qualifications:
Degree in electronic, or multi-disciplinary engineering; or have previous field service experience. 3+ years' experience (involving electronics & computer/software) Must hold valid US Passport or Green Card Must have experience traveling for work Permanent residents and U.S. Citizens only (company under I.T.A.R regulations). Not able to consider OPT students/graduates. Proven experience in high demand customer service. Based out of Central or Western United States with a home office located near a major airport Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
