FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of metal cutting machinery (

CNC :

milling and turning machines) at customer locations.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experience with CNC Controls (i.e., Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens).
  • Must be able to install, maintain, trouble shoot, and repair equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) o Replace ball screws, motors, cartridge spindles, and way systems o Replace limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, pushbuttons, starters/overloads, relays, drive units o Align and adjust drawbars and tool changers o Align and adjust pallet changers o Align and adjust turrets o Use ladder diagnostic functions on controls•Technical knowledge on the use of machine tools and logical trouble shooting skills•Must have ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics•Must be familiar with the proper use of tools used in the machine tool service industry (volt meter/amp probe, oscilloscope, temperature probe, precision machine level, granite square, dial indicator, micrometer).

Ball bar a plus.

Required Experience and Education:
  • Technical Degree (Electrical or Mechanical) preferred
  • 2+ years of experience of related field or similar CNC control in high-end machining
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Must be willing to travel and stay overnight if assigned.
Physical Requirement:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Pay:

$60,000.00
