We actively service the United States, Mexico and Canada and some international customers who rely on us for exceptional field service within house engineering and technical support.
Requirements:
Strong hands-on problem-solving skills relating to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Tube processing industry, steel industry, production line repair and maintenance considered a plus. The ability to study and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other machine specifications and determine installation procedures and equipment functionality. Associate degree in Applied Sciences with an Electrical, Mechanical or Trade specification is desired and preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of education. 90% Domestic Travel and 20% possible International Travel.
Summary of Duties:
Service engineers will primarily be performing and overseeing off site installations, start-up and training, standard preventative maintenance, and routine or emergency repairs on industrial strip processing equipment/machines for the automotive and steel tubing markets in agreement with manufacturer's specification. The service engineer should be able to troubleshoot (both onsite and offsite), repair and instruct others to repair machinery effectively and efficiently. This can include a broad scope of system issues which may include the following: Electrical, PLC, HMI, Contactor, Relays, Drives and any and electrical components related to our machinery. Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic functions of our machines and its associated components which can include basic hand tool use, welding, cutting, and general rebuilding and building of machine experience.. The service engineer will need to be able to communicate effectively and professionally in the field to our customers regarding general repairs, training, troubleshooting and consult with our engineers to resolve unusual problems in system operations and overall maintenance of our machinery. They may need to supervise, direct, and inform in the field to others with regards to testing, tuning, and adjustment of our machinery to obtain optimum operating performance. The service engineer may advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance and suggestions for product improvements and are essentially our eyes and ears in the field.
