- How You'll Make an Impact
- + •Duringyour first 12 months, you will complete classroom and instructor ledtraining in Orlando, FL and Houston, TX (Deer Park) and participate inon-the-job training with expert engineers at multiple customer sitesacross the US.
- + •Onceyou complete training as a Field Service Engineer, you'll supervisetechnicians and mechanics during power plant maintenance shutdowns (bothplanned and unplanned) and be responsible for disassembling, inspecting,and reassembling turbines and generators.
- + •Youwill coordinate the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems onturbine generators to increase power output and efficiency, while alsocollaborating with our worldwide engineering staff to perform nichemechanical and electrical testing.
- + •Asthe primary customer contact during outages, you will ensure that repairsare made in a timely and accurate manner, while traveling to powergeneration facilities throughout North America to support maintenance,inspections, repairs, upgrades, and commissioning activities on gasturbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- + •Additionally,you will assist with equipment disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting,and reassembly, and collaborate closely with customers, field technicians,engineers, and service teams to develop expertise in power generationsystems and field engineering practices, as well as learn projectmanagement, technical leadership, safety, and customer engagement skills.
- + •We'reseeking individuals who enjoy solving complex technical challenges andwant a career that combines engineering, travel, teamwork, and hands-onwork.
- What You Bring
- + •Abachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or arelated field is required by your start date (staggering start datesin January and February 2027).
- + •Youenjoy using both your mind and hands to tackle sophisticated mechanicalproblems while working closely with a team and our customers to provideoutstanding service.
- + •Youare open to travel, willing to spend extended periods away from home, asour Field Service Engineers typically travel 200-250 days per year fordurations ranging from 2 to 15 weeks at a time.
- + •Youcan ascend and descend ladders to examine equipment, positioning yourselfin confined spaces, moving boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, working inoutdoor weather conditions, walking long distances, and sharing crampedoffice trailers with other employees.
