covering Cincinnati and surrounding area About the Role We're looking for a skilled Digital Press Field Engineer to serve as the frontline technical expert for our customers. In this role, you'll diagnose and resolve complex press issues, ensure equipment reliability, and deliver the hands-on support that keeps our customers running at peak performance. This isn't just a break-fix role. You'll be a trusted partner throughout the customer journey — from initial installation through long-term success — leveraging cutting-edge AI and remote diagnostic tools to proactively identify issues and accelerate resolution. What You'll Do Technical Field Service Install, commission, and calibrate digital presses at customer sites Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and process-related issues with speed and precision Perform routine maintenance, software upgrades, and preventive service Deliver both on-site and remote technical support as needed Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reports Customer Success & Training Lead structured Ramp-Up programs for new customers during the critical first 30-90 days of production Train press operators and production staff on press operation and workflow, color management and media handling, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting and quality control Assess operator skill levels and tailor coaching approaches accordingly Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Applications, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding Serve as a technical mentor who builds long-term confidence and capability within customer teams What You Bring Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of field service experience, ideally with digital printing equipment (HP Indigo experience strongly preferred) Solid understanding of digital press technology, color theory, and RIP/workflow systems Strong troubleshooting ability across print quality, mechanical, and electrical domains Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits and proficiency with a multimeter Proven experience in customer training or technical mentoring Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer-first mindset Ability to travel frequently domestically, with occasional international travel Self-directed with strong time management and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Indigo Certification(s) or direct experience with Indigo presses Familiarity with DFE/RIP software such as Smart Stream, Esko, or EFI Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies Multilingual skills are a plus What's Included While on contract, you'll receive access to Indigo platform training and certification, career development opportunities within a global organization, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and mileage reimbursement. #TechJobs #LI-DT1 About Us Advantage Technical connects top- talent in technology, engineering, and technical fields with forward-looking companies.
