Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to represent the P&W Team at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ as a Field Service Engineer ( FSE ). This position is a customer facing role in a high visibility and part of a team-oriented environment.What You Will Do:
+ SupportF-35B/F135
operations to include systems, tooling, material, and processes. The FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft, and unit personnel. + Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption. + Work closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams to assist Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron ( VMFA- 122, Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron, Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron ( VMFA
- 211, Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron ( VMFA
- 214, Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron ( VMFA
- 225, Marine Test & Evaluation Squadron
- 1 and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron ( MALS
- 13 Supply Department in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ A bachelor's degree is required, in an engineering or related technical field is preferred. Or, an associate's degree, or 2-year post high school training and 9 years of engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support. This includes supply chain management and Support Equipment management in lieu of a degree. + A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support. This includes supply chain management and Support Equipment management. + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required. Candidates that have had a clearance that has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may apply for consideration. + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a secret clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. + Experience on the F135 engine and associated programs to include Autonomic Logistics Information System ( ALIS )/ OBPHM . + Knowledge of turbine engine theory and operation. + Familiarity of USMC aviation operations/structure.
