Field Service Engineer - CNC Equipment Position Overview Are you willing to Relocate if needed? Do you want growth potential in your career? Are you a person that is willing to work hard? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with hands-on experience servicing CNC machinery. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and rebuilding CNC equipment at customer sites across the United States. The ideal candidate thrives in a travel-based role, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer support. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and start up CNC machines at customer facilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on CNC equipment Perform preventative maintenance and system calibrations to ensure optimal machine performance Lead and support full or partial machine rebuilds, retrofits, and upgrades Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CNC programs for troubleshooting Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers Train operators and maintenance personnel on proper machine use and upkeep Document service activities, maintain detailed reports, and track parts usage Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams to resolve complex issues Qualifications 3+ years of experience servicing CNC machinery (mills, lathes, multi-axis equipment, etc.) Strong knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar) Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, servo motors, and mechanical components Experience with machine installs, alignments, and rebuilds Proficiency reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field Excellent communication and customer service skills Travel & Location Willingness to travel extensively (50-100%) across the United States Open to candidates willing to relocate within the U.S. based on business needs Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or extended assignments Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Experience with CNC programming or G-code editing OEM or distributor service experience Familiarity with robotics or automated systems integration What We Offer Competitive base salary + overtime opportunities Per diem and travel expenses covered Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k) Ongoing technical training and career advancement opportunities
