Serving industries such as pharmaceutical, food & beverage, aerosol, and chemical, the company provides reliable, non-destructive testing solutions to customers worldwide. As our U.S. operations continue to expand, the Field Service Engineer provides on-site technical service and support for Bonfiglioli Engineering s.r.l. equipment at customer locations throughout the United States. This role involves installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, customer support, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction. The majority of work will be performed at customer sites and requires frequent travel.
Job Responsibilities:
Installation, start-up, commissioning, and acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) of machines and systems at customer sites Execution of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities Troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software issues Support during validation activities (IQ / OQ / PQ), where required On-the-job training and technical guidance for customer personnel during installations and service visits On-site and remote technical support to customers Root cause analysis of failures and definition of corrective and preventive actions Collaboration with Engineering, R D, and Back Office teams for technical escalation and issue resolution Support during intensive production phases or critical equipment situations Preparation and completion of service reports and intervention documentation Accurate reporting of working hours, activities performed, and spare parts used Identification and reporting of recurring issues and product improvement opportunities Direct management of customer relationships during service activities Clear and professional communication regarding intervention status and outcomes Support to service sales activities (spare parts, upgrades, service contracts) in coordination with Sales and Service teams Qualifications Associate degree (two-year technical degree) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3+ years of related field service, technical, or equipment support experience. Strong electromechanical knowledge; ability to read electrical diagrams. PLC/industrial controls experience preferred. Ability and willingness to travel approximately up to 80 %, including overnight stays. Effective communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels inside and outside the organization.
