Job Description

Position Field Service Engineer Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our team in supporting customers in the semiconductor industry. The FSE will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal teams. Essential Duties ・Install, test, and commission semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites. ・Perform routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services. ・Analyze equipment issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. ・Provide technical support and training to customers and local service teams. ・Communicate service reports, technical findings, and improvement suggestions to headquarters. ・Support new product introduction and field upgrades as required. ・Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company quality standards. ・Maintain strong customer relationships through timely and professional service. Saturdays, Sundays, and National Major Holidays ​​​​​​・Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field. ・2+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support within the semiconductor or related high-tech equipment industry. ・Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and vacuum systems. ・Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics tools. ・Strong communication and customer service skills. ・Ability to work independently and travel frequently (domestic and international). ・Proficiency in English (Japanese or other Asian language skills are a plus).
Preferred Skills:
・Experience with lithography, etching, deposition, metrology, or inspection equipment. ・Knowledge of cleanroom procedures and semiconductor manufacturing processes. ・Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Are you able and willing to travel to Oregon for 1 to 2 months of initial training immediately after hire? After training, are you comfortable with a work style where you will stand by at the client's cafeteria in Texas until an issue/problem arises? Do you have 3 years of experience with Mechanical Troubleshooting/ Mechanical Maintenance? Do you have direct experience with multi-axis robot teaching (robot teaching)? (Preferred) Is your educational background or core engineering experience focused on Mechanical Engineering? Do you have any previous experience in the semiconductor Industry? ( Preferred)
