Field Service Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to deploy and optimize advanced power-monitoring hardware. You will be the technical lead for high-stakes power systems in data centers and industrial facilities, ensuring hardware integration and power quality.

Ashburn, VA Schedule:

Mon•Fri, 8:00AM•5:00PM (75% travel)

Compensation:

$90,000•100,000

DOE Key Responsibilities:

System Commissioning:

Set up and program high-end power meters and energy-monitoring hardware.

Technical Diagnostics:

Use hardware tools to analyze power quality (harmonics, voltage sags, and transients).

Network Integration:

Configure industrial communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP) to connect hardware to site-wide monitoring software.

Client Advisory:

Work directly with data center engineers to troubleshoot electrical distribution issues and improve system reliability.

Requirements:

Technical Background:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or 3+ years' experience in field support, installation, or commissioning of hardware/software systems).

Power Knowledge:

Solid understanding of 3-phase power, switchgear, and electrical schematics.

Protocol Skills:

Experience with RS485, Modbus, or similar industrial networking.

Mobility:

Ability to support regional sites in the Northern Virginia area.
