We design, manufacture, and support rugged sensor solutions that deliver reliable performance in the field. As our system offerings evolve, we are increasing our system testing and field service capacity to support engineering development, production needs, and customer deployments. Position Overview This role combines bench-level system testing, field testing, and technical field service support. The System Test Engineer / FSR validates system performance, supports new product development activities, and assists customer-facing operations including installations, evaluations, and training. Key Responsibilities Execute bench tests to verify system performance and validate engineering updates. Conduct field tests to assess real-world detection performance and environmental reliability. Document test procedures, results, discrepancies, and observations to support engineering feedback. Work with engineering teams to reproduce issues, verify corrective actions, and support continuous improvement. Support field operations, including installations, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and user training. Configure basic networking parameters such as IP addressing, subnets, and device communication settings. Maintain readiness of test equipment, field kits, and documentation. Travel domestically and internationally as required to support customer sites, deployments, and technical engagements. Required Qualifications Experience testing electromechanical, embedded, or sensor-based systems. Working knowledge of basic networking principles, including static/dynamic IP configuration, subnets, and common communication protocols. Ability to diagnose hardware, firmware, and software issues using structured troubleshooting methods. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both customer-facing and internal environments. Ability to work effectively in lab settings as well as outdoor field environments. Willingness to travel approximately 35-50%. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting field deployments for defense, industrial, or government systems. Familiarity with Linux-based tools or embedded operating systems. Experience with RF systems, telemetry, or remote sensing technology. Hands-on use of test tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, or network utilities.
