This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge machinery, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise, with a passion for problem-solving and ensuring operational efficiency. As a vital part of our field service team, you will be empowered to make a tangible impact on our clients' manufacturing facilities by providing timely, reliable technical support. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for complete field installation, start-up, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of company supplied equipment of several products. Depending upon the terms of the contract or project, this may include planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the work in an advisory capacity to others. This also includes documenting all job activities. Extensive domestic and international travel required (50 - 75% travel). Key Responsibilities Perform or lead complex equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Perform complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and complete documentation of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. Perform complex service or systems calls and interface with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution. Perform assessment of complex product/equipment/application performance based on field support data and recommend modifications or improvements. Troubleshoot potential problems and provide effective solutions in relation to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes. Perform or guide assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and design modifications or improvements. May provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and eventually train other employees. Provide complex product and service training to customers. Provide support and work with customer networks, IT infrastructure, SQL databases and servers, etc. Required Qualifications & Skills Degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in field service. Strong mechanical, electrical, analytical, and software troubleshooting skills. Ability to logically troubleshoot complex hardware, software, application and process related issues. Be able to convey this information in a way the customer understands. Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken language skills Must be able to work overtime and weekends, as needed. Customer-focused with strong communication skills. Ability to travel frequently, 50 - 75% travel
Pay:
$36.00 - $43.00 per hour
