Field Service Engineer -
Fiber Laser & Automation Location:

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our growing team and become part of an industry-leading organization specializing in fiber laser cutting systems and automation . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and wants to develop their technical career. You'll work alongside experienced Senior Service Engineers and receive extensive hands-on training in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of advanced fiber laser and automation systems . You don't need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, mechanical/electrical aptitude, willingness to learn, and desire to build a long-term career .

You will work directly with customers at their facilities and may travel to additional customer plant locations throughout the United States. Responsibilities Install, commission, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber laser and automation equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems Diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate solutions Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs Provide basic customer training and guidance on machine operation, maintenance, and safety Complete daily service reports accurately and on time Complete required expense reports Maintain excellent customer relationships and provide professional customer service Communicate effectively with customers, management, and other service engineers Work overtime as needed to support customer requirements Follow all company and customer safety procedures Work safely in industrial environments and around large-scale manufacturing equipment Travel Requirements Must live in Central Wisconsin Extensive travel to customer locations, primarily throughout the United States Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Must be able to rent a vehicle Must have or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport Overnight travel is required Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, push, pull, reach, and work around industrial machinery Lift and carry 50+ pounds Work in manufacturing and industrial environments Work overtime when necessary to meet customer needs Qualifications We are looking for someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic, mechanical/electrical aptitude, and a willingness to learn . Required Current, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship No current or future visa sponsorship is available for this position Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills Ability to take direction and learn from Senior Service Engineers Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer-service and customer-facing skills Self-motivated, organized, and dependable Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Basic hand tools Experience With Any of the Following Is a Plus Electrical troubleshooting Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulics Pneumatics Electronics Industrial controls Ethernet / industrial networking EtherCAT European electrical schematics CNC machinery Fiber laser cutting systems Industrial automation Machine installation and commissioning Apple products and technology Additional specialty tools and equipment will be provided as needed.
