WV JOB PURPOSE

Saminco is currently seeking applicants for the position of Field Service Engineer. This position will be responsible for technical support for Saminco in underground mining and Industrial settings primarily in the US along with some technical support for American Traction Systems (ATS).

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

∙Tests and troubleshoot electrical systems using test equipment ∙Provide field service for R D products ∙Assist with electrical and mechanical design teams to improve performance and reliability ∙Perform testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifications to equipment ∙Provide feedback on repairs and installations to facilitate improvement in quality and manufacturing ∙Assist customers with the installation, start up and servicing of products when required ∙Perform customer product training as required ∙Travel to customer location for debugging and troubleshooting of equipment ∙Report on quality and service defects to production management and engineers ∙Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with our products and service ∙Perform customer product training as required ∙Keep workplace tidy and report to the Safety Manager any problems or concerns for storage or items causing obstruction or jeopardizing safety

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. mining equipment knowledge Special o Mining equipment knowledge preferred Knowledge/ o Ability to use electrical troubleshooting tools such as voltmeter, amp clamp, oscilloscope, laptop SW Skills tools, etc. o Ability to read and understand electrical schematics o General mechanical understanding of mobile machinery o Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC's and HMI systems Attendance/ o To maintain a safe and productive work environment, Saminco, Inc. expects employees to be Punctuality reliable and to be punctual in reporting for scheduled work.
