Up to $5,000 DOE Interstate Energy Systems is a trusted provider of industrial and commercial power generation solutions. We are looking for Power Generation Field Service Technicians to join our growing team in Surprise, AZ. Experience with heavy-duty diesel engines (truck, equipment, marine, or power systems) is highly transferable and welcomed. Job Overview As a Power Generation Technician, you'll service, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain diesel and natural gas generator systems, transfer switches, and related equipment. This role is ideal for technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoy hands-on field work and problem-solving. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generator systems Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues Complete load bank testing, installations, and system upgrades Respond to emergency and on-call service requests Document service work, repairs, and parts used Communicate professionally with customers and team members Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred Experience with power generation OR heavy-duty diesel engines (diesel trucks, heavy equipment, industrial engines) is transferable and encouraged to apply Knowledge of diesel and natural gas engines, electrical systems, and controls Familiarity with Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, or similar equipment preferred Ability to use diagnostic tools and multimeters Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Company-provided tools, uniforms, and service vehicle Ongoing training and career development Why Interstate Energy Systems?
