As an Field Service Technician with Xylem Wachs Water Services one will be responsible for job safety, accurate and professional operation and maintenance of valves and fire hydrants. The Field Service Technician will follow written procedures for assessing, operating, maintaining and testing of valves and fire hydrants. The Field Service Technician will also become familiar with the duties of the Crew Chief to provide advancement opportunities within the organization. Field Service Technician position to provide support to Crew Chief. Requires someone good with technology/mechanics, problem solving and team player. Responsible for tool/equipment assembly and disassembly, site and tool cleaning, data collection, and adhere to safety standards. Experience in leak/water detection is a plus.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Adheres to standard operating procedures and policies Assists other Operators and Crew Chief while in field Supports tool/equipment assembly and disassembly under supervision; inclusive of cleaning tools and equipment Actively participates in onsite safety and planning meetings to review safety risks and areas of concern based on planning documentation and onsite observations Keep site clean and free from potential tripping and safety hazards Ability to do simple data collection Empowered to raise observations/concerns and recognition to immediate team and leadership as required Focused on continuous improvement by consistently looking for ways to improve and promote quality, efficacy, and safety
