Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support environmental and industrial service projects at client sites. In this entry-level, field-based role, you'll assist with setup, operation, and basic maintenance of industrial cleaning and environmental service equipment, including vacuum trucks, pressure washers, and related systems. You will follow strict safety and environmental procedures, handle hazardous materials under supervision, complete basic documentation, and interact professionally with customers while supporting a safety-first, team-oriented culture focused on protecting the environment. Responsibilities Assist with setup, operation, and shutdown of industrial cleaning and environmental service equipment at client sites Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures, including proper PPE use and hazard controls Handle and transfer hazardous and non-hazardous materials under supervision, ensuring regulatory compliance Perform basic inspections and routine maintenance on tools, hoses, and equipment to ensure safe operation Support spill response, industrial cleaning, and waste removal projects as directed by senior technicians or supervisors Complete basic service reports, logs, and documentation accurately and on time Communicate professionally with customers and team members, representing Clean Harbors' safety-first culture Participate in safety meetings, drills, and ongoing training to build technical and environmental compliance skills Required Skills Mechanical troubleshooting Basic electrical/mechanical repair Equipment operation (pumps, vac trucks, pressure washers) Hazardous waste handling procedures OSHA and
