Job Description

We are an environmental laboratory looking for a full-time, entry-level Field Services Technician/Driver in our Field Services division. Primary functions will include pick up, delivery, and sampling services of environmental samples and supplies. Job will involve daily long-distance driving. All routes will begin and end at the Grand Terrace lab location. Shift hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 am thru 5:00 pm; some overtime past 5:00 pm may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Pick up environmental samples from client locations and delivery to lab location in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures Prepared and deliver environmental sampling supplies to client locations. Deliver environmental samples to other environmental lab locations. Properly perform sample collection in adherence with EPA and Standard Method Guidelines Filed sampling (including analyzing pH & chlorine residual) Conduct driving services efficiently, to ensure the most economical use of time and resources. Adhere to all traffic laws. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of issued company vehicle, reporting any defects or required repairs to the Field Services Supervisor.
OTHER DUTIES
Act as liaison between laboratory and clients. Communicate client needs and concerns to lab management. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Class C Drivers License. Good Driving Record as supported by California DMV Printout. Ability to lift 50 lbs ice chests; ability to team lift ice chests greater than 50 lbs. Ability to drive a majority of the day, with occasional stops to pick up client samples. Ability to follow written SOPs, driver schedules, shipping documents.

From $18.00 per hour
