$70,000) About the Role Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves taking things apart, building electronics, or tinkering with 3D printers and machinery? We are a leading CNC machinery supplier in Irvine, CA looking for a Junior Field Service Technician . This is a dynamic, high-travel role where you'll get paid to travel across the US, Canada, and Mexico to install, troubleshoot, and service automated CNC equipment. When you aren't on the road, you'll work out of our Irvine office providing phone and email technical support to our clients. What You'll Do:
On the Road (70% Travel): Perform hands-on machine installations, preventive maintenance, and client operator training across North America. In the
Office:
Provide clear, friendly technical support and troubleshooting via phone and email to guide clients through machine component replacements.
Events:
Represent the technical team at industry trade shows and machinery exhibitions.
What We're Looking For:
Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude:
1-3+ years of experience or training in Electrical/Mechanical engineering fields (Automation, Automotive, Robotics, or Mechatronics). The "Maker"
Mindset:
Experience building 3D printers, personal desktop CNCs, custom computers, or working on complex DIY technical projects.
Tool Proficiency:
Comfortable using precision measurement tools (calipers, dial indicators, multimeters) and reading schematics.
Great Communicator:
Comfortable hopping on the phone to walk a client through a step-by-step fix in a patient, helpful manner.
Travel Ready:
Valid Driver's License, clean driving record (No DUIs), and a passport (or ability to obtain one for Canada/Mexico travel). Nice-to-Haves (Not Required): Knowledge of modern CNC machinery principles or G-code/PLC logic. Bilingual in Spanish. ASE Certifications or
ISO 9001
experience.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 Per Year
