Mobility City of Milpitas is seeking a dependable, hands-on Mobility Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and set up mobility equipment in our showroom and at customer locations. You'll work with mobility scooters, power and manual wheelchairs, hospital beds, lift chairs, and other DME. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobility equipment. Perform in-store and in-home/facility service calls . Deliver, assemble, install, and demonstrate equipment safely. Inspect equipment, identify needed repairs and parts, and complete service documentation. Perform preventative maintenance and post-repair safety testing. Maintain organized tools, service areas, parts, and service vehicle. Complete manufacturer training and stay current on equipment and repair procedures. Provide professional, respectful service to customers and caregivers. Qualifications Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, automotive, medical/DME, or similar equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using hand and diagnostic tools. Ability to learn new equipment and repair procedures quickly. Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and customer-friendly. Genuine interest in helping seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain independence. Valid California driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to frequently lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus. Mobility equipment experience is preferred, but we will train the right technically capable candidate.
