Field Services Specialist I Animal Services | Part-Time, 28 hours/week | $25.90-$28.77/hour Make a difference for animals—and the people who care about them. Do you have a passion for animals, a calm presence in challenging situations, and a desire to make a difference in your community? Marin Humane is looking for a Field Services Specialist I to join our Animal Services team! This is a hands-on, varied role that combines animal care, field response, community education, and public service . You'll provide critical support to our Animal Services Officers, helping them respond effectively to calls while ensuring animals and community members receive compassionate, professional care. What You'll Do No two days are exactly alike.

You'll:

Respond to calls involving stray, injured, confined, at-large, deceased, and wildlife animals. Safely capture, handle, transport, and care for animals using humane techniques. Assist Animal Services Officers with field calls, rescues, animal transport, and other operational needs. Conduct quarantine checks and assist with rabies-related follow-up. Educate community members about animal care, licensing, and rabies prevention. Support licensing clinics, outreach events, and emergency/disaster response. Crosstrain to provide occasional Customer Service and Dispatch support. Maintain accurate records and ensure field equipment and vehicles are safe and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or equivalent. One year of animal-related experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to safely handle animals of varying species, sizes, and temperaments. Ability to obtain required certifications and rabies vaccination within the specified timeframes. This is an active field position that involves animal handling, driving, outdoor work in a variety of conditions, and responding to situations that can sometimes be physically or emotionally challenging. Schedule:
