Estimated Salary:
$22.00 to $30.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities. What you'll do: Performs field service to test and repair malfunctioning washers and dryers Uses test equipment to determine condition of machines Examines machines during operating cycles to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts Disassembles machine and examines mechanical and electrical parts Replaces worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and defective wiring Replaces and adjusts motors Reassembles appliance, adjusts pulleys, and lubricates moving parts Advises dispatch department of equipment in the field that should be replaced Drives a company vehicle to and from work locations Maintains company vehicle fluid levels, tire pressure, and keeps vehicle clean Maintains stocks of replacement parts for servicing coin operated washers and dryers Contacts apartment managers and customers to insure good customer relations What we're looking for: Good driving record Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Must possess effective English communication skills (oral and written); bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish) are desirable At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck Prior washer/dryer repair experience is desirable We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or status as a veteran, or because of any other federal, state, or local protected class.
