Would you rather be out in the field than sitting behind a desk all day? RR Mechatronics is looking for a Field Service Technician based in California to support our customers across California and the Las Vegas area. You will work with specialized medical and laboratory instruments used by hospitals and laboratories and help keep these systems running reliably. This is a hands-on, field-based role with a high degree of independence. You won't be expected to know our equipment on day one. We will train you on our instruments and technology, with your initial product and technical training taking place at our U.S. office in Warwick, Rhode Island. What we are looking for is a technically skilled, hands-on problem solver who enjoys working independently and providing excellent customer service. What will you do? As a Field Service Technician, you will be one of the main technical contacts for our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:

However, the core of this position is hands-on electromechanical service and troubleshooting. What are we looking for? An Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or comparable technical background, in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related technical field Hands-on electromechanical experience Experience in a technical service or similar position Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills A practical, solution-oriented approach The ability to work independently and make effective use of the resources available to you Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned service territory Travel and your service territory Travel is an important part of this position. Our customers are located across Northern California, Southern California and the Las Vegas area , so you should be comfortable spending a significant part of your working time on the road and occasionally staying overnight. The position is based in California and is field-based. RR Mechatronics does not have an office in California. You will work independently within your service territory while being part of our U.S. service organization based in Warwick, Rhode Island. Initial product and technical training will take place at our Warwick office. Additional travel to Warwick may be required from time to time for training, meetings or collaboration with colleagues. What we offer Base salary of $60,000 to $70,000 per year Health insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Comprehensive training on RR Mechatronics instruments and technology A high degree of independence and responsibility The opportunity to work with specialized medical and laboratory technology A varied field-based position combining technology, problem-solving and customer contact About RR Mechatronics RR Mechatronics develops, manufactures and supports specialized medical and laboratory instruments. Our U.S. office is located in Warwick, Rhode Island, and currently consists of a team of five employees. We are expanding our U.S. organization and are looking for an additional colleague in Warwick as well as a Field Service Technician based in California. This gives us the opportunity to get to know you from both an organizational and technical perspective, while giving you the opportunity to learn more about RR Mechatronics, the role and the team you will be working with. Interested? If you enjoy combining hands-on technology, problem-solving, travel and customer contact, and like the idea of taking responsibility for your own service territory, we would like to hear from you.
