Job Description

Water Damage Technician Overview:
The restoration technician is responsible for assisting the production department with completion of cleaning, mold remediation and water-related projects. Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold or wet and sometimes unsanitary. All attempts will be made to accommodate requests of workers exposed to these conditions. The work can be very challenging, fun and rewarding. A good attitude, professional work practices and a desire to help people in need are requirements for the job.
Some of Your Duties May Include:
Post construction cleaning to prepare for occupancy Keep the job site clean and professional. Leave the job site clean at the end of the day. Organize and remove all cleaning tools and supplies from the property. Water damage services Water extraction and removal of water damaged materials Move affected contents Set up and monitor drying equipment Be able to use moisture meters along with other monitoring equipment Be able to use computer to log in necessary readings from equipment Mold remediation Set up and maintain containment Bio Hazard cleanup
General Requirements:
Being available for routine on call emergency services and after-hours work. Driver's license • Clean, insurable drivers record. Drug test.
Back ground check Physical requirements:
Must lift heavy items up to 50lbs on a routine basis • Employees will be working with cleaning, deodorization and antimicrobial products on a daily basis. Gloves, respirators and splash goggles are available for use. Employees may be required routinely climb ladders and work in high places. The workspace may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions. Protective gear is available for use and is required on some heavily contaminated work sites.
