Field Service Technician Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM | 40 hours/week Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to support the operation and maintenance of decentralized wastewater treatment systems. This is an entry-level, hands-on field position. Previous wastewater experience is not required—the company will train the right person and provide support toward obtaining the required wastewater operator license. Responsibilities Travel to wastewater treatment stations throughout the workday. Collect process and compliance samples, including pH testing. Monitor flow rates, chemical levels, and equipment status. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs. Respond to system alarms and troubleshoot basic issues. Maintain accurate electronic logs, photos, testing data, and compliance documentation. Follow EPA, environmental, and company safety procedures. Participate in an on-call rotation as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and acceptable 5-year MVR. Must pass a background check. Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills. Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Comfortable using email and basic computer applications. Able to work independently, outdoors, and spend much of the day driving between sites. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to obtain the required wastewater operator license within 12 months. Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, field service, or wastewater experience is a plus but not required. Training & Benefits of the Role Approximately 2+ weeks of hands-on training alongside an experienced technician. Company provides required tools and PPE. Company provides training and assistance toward wastewater licensing. Additional stipend for on-call rotation. If dispatched while on call, hours worked are paid at time-and-a-half.
