Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled
FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
specializing in IP cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and access control systems. Our primary focus for this position is security cameras, network video recorders (NVRs), access control systems, RFID, and electronic door hardware. Experience with gates and gate operators is valuable and preferred, but gate experience is not the primary requirement for this position. The Field Service Technician is responsible for service calls, installations, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and communicating professionally with customers, property managers, and company management. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair IP/network camera systems Install and configure NVRs and camera recording systems Troubleshoot camera connectivity, video, recording, and network issues Work with network cameras, PoE switches, cabling, and basic networking Install, troubleshoot, and service access control systems Install and service RFID/key fob systems Install and troubleshoot maglocks, electric door strikes, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, and related access control hardware Run and terminate low-voltage wiring and network cabling Diagnose electrical and low-voltage problems using meters and testing equipment Configure and troubleshoot equipment and systems in the field Perform preventive maintenance and service on customer systems Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments Provide professional communication between customers, property managers, and company management Complete service documentation and accurately communicate findings and recommendations Drive company vehicles to customer locations Maintain company vehicle and controlled inventory Maintain and use hand tools, power tools, meters, ladders, and material-handling equipment Experience Proven field service experience working with electrical security systems such as CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, access control hardware, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting computer hardware components related to security equipment. Familiarity with system design principles including interpreting schematics, electrical blueprints reading, and cabling layouts for complex security setups. Knowledge of computer networking concepts essential for configuring IP cameras, NVRs, remote access software, and network switches in diverse environments. Experience troubleshooting physical security systems involving sensors, door security integration, fire alarms, and low-voltage electrical systems. Service technician background with a focus on electrical security system installation or maintenance is highly preferred. Pay:
$24.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
