Florida (Travel Required) Job Overview Workspace Technology is seeking a Field Service & Installation Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Modula Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) and other material handling and storage systems. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and traveling to customer sites throughout the Southeast. Technicians will utilize company provided laptops and mobile devices to access service documentation, manufacturer resources, complete work orders, and communicate with customers and internal team members. The successful candidate will receive specialized factory training and certification directly from the manufacturer and will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support. Training & Advancement Required 2-week Modula factory certification training in Franklin, Ohio Must successfully complete 5 Modula VLM installations with Supervisor and pass an audit Upon successful completion of certification and demonstrated field performance, compensation will be reviewed and adjusted based on skill level, performance, and capabilities Continuous training and career advancement opportunities available Key Responsibilities Install, assemble, and commission Modula automated storage systems Perform preventative maintenance and service repairs at customer facilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues Read and interpret technical documentation and service manuals Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members Complete service reports and maintain accurate records Travel to customer sites on a weekly basis throughout the service territory Follow all company and customer safety requirements Maintain company-provided equipment and service vehicle Represent Workspace Technology professionally at customer sites Qualifications Basic Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Clean criminal background (required for access to military and government facilities) Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel regularly and work independently Willingness to travel overnight on a weekly basis throughout the Southeast Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and extended hours as project schedules require Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic mechanical adjustments Personal hand tools required (specialized machine-specific tools provided by the company) Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments Preferred Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience servicing, maintaining, or installing automated machinery or industrial equipment Basic knowledge of electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting Forklift Certification MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) Certification OSHA 10 Certification OSHA 30 Certification Experience with conveyors, automated systems, robotics, warehouse equipment, or industrial machinery Computer Skills (Required) Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, email communication, and basic computer applications Ability to create and edit reports, spreadsheets, and service documentation using Microsoft Office Comfortable using web-based service portals, cloud-based systems, and manufacturer support resources Ability to research technical information and navigate digital service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation Ability to complete electronic work orders, service reports, inspection forms, and time reporting accurately and on time Comfortable using laptops, tablets, smartphones, and mobile applications in a field service environment Travel Requirements and Benefits Weekly travel required throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States Overnight travel is expected $50 per day per diem provided for approved overnight travel Per diem and travel reimbursements do not apply to normal commuting to and from Workspace Technology's warehouse or office locations Transportation for approved business travel will be provided or reimbursed in accordance with company policies Company service vehicles may be assigned to qualified technicians who have successfully completed training and are performing independent field service work All approved business travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with company policies Benefits Starting pay of $30.00 per hour Compensation review following completion of factory certification and demonstrated field performance Access to company service vehicle Paid manufacturer certification training Health insurance benefits after 6 months of employment Supplemental insurance benefits available after 6 months 401(k) program with profit sharing after 1 year of employment Overtime opportunities Career growth with a growing leader in automated storage and retrieval systems Ongoing technical and professional development Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work on elevated equipment Ability to work safely in warehouse, manufacturing, government, and military environments Why Join Workspace Technology? Pay:

Starting at $30.00 per hour. Following successful completion of Modula factory certification and demonstrated field performance, compensation will be reviewed and adjusted based on qualifications, productivity, and technical proficiency.

Expected Hours:

40+ hours per week with overtime opportunities available.

Work Location:

Travel-based position with customer site visits throughout Florida and the Southeast. Some travel outside of the Southeast United States may be required.
