In this energetic role, you will be on the front lines of disaster response, utilizing your hands-on skills to assess damage, perform restoration tasks, and help clients recover from unexpected events. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives while developing valuable industry experience in water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and more. Responsibilities Respond promptly to water damage, fire restoration, mold remediation, and other disaster sites to assess damage and determine appropriate mitigation strategies Perform water extraction using specialized equipment and ensure thorough drying of affected areas Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, cleaning, and restoration tasks with precision and safety in mind Conduct cleaning services including carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation to restore property to its pre-loss condition Assist with asbestos abatement procedures when necessary, following safety protocols and industry standards Support fire restoration efforts by removing smoke residues and deodorizing affected spaces Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and progress updates for each project Skills Proven experience in water damage restoration or related restoration industry roles Knowledge of mold remediation techniques and asbestos abatement procedures is a plus Familiarity with hand tools such as scrapers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools including drills and saws Ability to operate cleaning equipment like extractors and carpet cleaners efficiently Strong understanding of construction principles relevant to structural drying and repair processes Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times Effective communication skills for working with team members and clients alike This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in the restoration industry while helping communities recover from challenging situations.
