Direct hire, salaried with paid overtime Summary We are working with an industrial machinery manufacturer near Duluth, GA that is hiring a Field Service Technician / Field Service Engineer to install, start up, commission, troubleshoot, and support equipment at customer sites. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on machinery work, customer-site problem solving, and travel. When you are not traveling, you will work from the local office. What You'll Do Travel to customer sites across North, Central, and South America, with some international training in Europe Install, start up, commission, test, and troubleshoot industrial machinery Support customers during and after the warranty period, both onsite and remotely Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLC, and PC-control issues Train customer employees on equipment operation and service Support customer demonstrations and sample or prototype part production Work independently in the field while communicating clearly with customers and internal teams What We're Looking For 3+ years of industrial machinery troubleshooting and/or field service experience Strong hands-on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting ability Experience with PLCs, PC controls, or automated industrial equipment 2-year technical degree or 4 years of military experience in a mechanical/electrical field preferred Comfortable with frequent weekday overnight travel after training Strong customer-service mindset and ability to work independently Good communication and computer skills Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug test English fluency required; conversational Spanish is a plus Compensation and Benefits Salaried direct-hire position with overtime paid at time and a half Travel time counts toward weekly hours, including time from home to the airport $75/day per diem $300 annual tool allowance Company laptop, cell phone, and iPad provided Corporate credit card option, or the option to use your own points card for travel Internal support for travel and lodging coordination Medical and prescription insurance Dental insurance Life and disability insurance 401(k) with 4% employer match Accrued vacation time and paid holidays Year-end profit-sharing bonus Company pays 70% of health premium Pay is based on experience.
