Technical Support and Field Service Technician -

Large LED Screens Summary:

Will install and service large LED Digital Billboards, LED Scoreboards, and LED Video Screens at locations across the US.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with installation of new products on job sites across the USA. Perform diagnostics on Billboards and Scoreboards from hardware to software. Service existing customer installations and communicate with customers until resolved. Climb multiple billboard structures up to heights of 100 feet for extended time frames. Travel to multiple sites a day for service. Attend ongoing technical and safety training meetings. Perform other duties as required. Ensure responsiveness and first-time resolution to customers' requests for technical support, primarily through incoming calls, community requests, and email conversations. Troubleshoot and solve simple to highly complex hardware and software technical issues using logical troubleshooting approach with attention to detail. When needed, collaborate with a team to resolve, or escalate product issues. Periodically provide on-site support for service projects, event support, installations, and on-site technical service (amount of on-site technical work could vary based on geographical location and seasonality). Actively create and update knowledge base articles for internal and external uses. Actively listen to customers and use Salesforce to quickly capture accurate detailed notes about troubleshooting, plans of action, and site-specific information for all customer interactions. Regularly participate in technical training on new and different products and systems to advance your technical knowledge for supporting Formetco customers.

Education/Experience/Skills:

High school education or equivalent; technical degree preferred. Experience with high/low voltage power distribution and data communications/networking. Have general trouble shooting experience. Previous experience working with and installing LED Electronic Signs, Scoreboards, LED Video Displays and/or experience working in the Billboard Industry a plus. Understanding of electrical requirements for wiring general signage. Computer and computer network knowledge desired. Good general mechanical and analytical skills. Ability to climb billboard structures, be comfortable working at heights of 100' for extended time frames. Work can occur in a variety of weather conditions.

Other:

Must have a good driving record. Crane Truck Operation, Rigging, and/or Welding experience a plus. 50% overnight travel. Willing to perform shift work and participate in an After-Hours rotation which consists of providing technical support up to 24/7 during non-business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
