They specialize in water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, and mold remediation , delivering rapid, high‑quality service with a strong focus on integrity, communication, and customer care. They are seeking a dependable and skilled Mitigation Specialist to join their field operations team and support ongoing growth. Role Overview The Mitigation Specialist plays a key role in responding to property damage events, performing on‑site mitigation services, documenting job progress, and ensuring all work meets industry and safety standards. This position requires technical skill, professionalism, and the ability to support customers during stressful situations. Key Responsibilities Mitigation & Restoration Work Perform water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification setup, and moisture mapping. Assist with fire and smoke cleanup, odor removal, and content handling. Support mold remediation activities including containment setup, HEPA vacuuming, and antimicrobial application. Conduct controlled demolition (drywall, flooring, insulation, etc.) when required. Equipment & Monitoring Set up and maintain air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers, and related equipment. Complete daily moisture readings and job monitoring using meters and thermal imaging tools. Ensure equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored. Documentation & Customer Interaction Capture accurate job notes, photos, moisture logs, and time entries using mobile software. Communicate clearly with customers about the mitigation process and daily progress updates. Coordinate with Lead Technicians, Project Managers, and office staff to ensure smooth job flow. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines. Identify hazards and maintain a safe work environment at all times. Qualifications Experience 1-3 years of experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, or mold remediation preferred. Construction, demolition, or related trade experience is a plus. Certifications
IICRC WRT
preferred (or willingness to obtain). Additional certifications (ASD, FSRT, AMRT) are beneficial. Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of mitigation procedures and equipment. Ability to follow scopes of work and safety instructions. Professional communication and customer service skills. Comfortable using mobile apps for documentation. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly. Frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, and ladder use. Ability to work in hot, cold, damp, or confined environments. Must pass respirator fit testing. Schedule & Availability Full‑time role with rotating on‑call responsibilities. Availability for evenings, weekends, and emergency response. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications. Opportunities for overtime and on‑call bonuses.
