Full-Time Position Summary Seeking a Service Technician to provide technical support, installation assistance, commissioning, troubleshooting, and training for agricultural ventilation equipment used in poultry, swine, layer, and dairy facilities. The Service Technician will work closely with distributors, contractors, growers, and internal sales teams to ensure customers achieve optimal performance from client ventilation and environmental control systems. This position requires a hands-on individual with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys travel and working directly with customers in agricultural environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, commission, and troubleshoot ventilation equipment including: Exhaust fans Circulation fans Air inlets Tunnel doors Evaporative cooling systems Actuators and environmental control systems Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and airflow-related issues in livestock facilities. Assist customers and distributors with equipment startup Conduct field inspections and provide recommendations for system improvements. Troubleshoot 24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480VAC electrical systems. Support environmental controllers and actuator systems. Prepare detailed service reports documenting findings and corrective actions. Train distributors, installers, and end users on proper operation and maintenance procedures. Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Product Development teams to identify product improvement opportunities. Participate in trade shows, dealer meetings, and customer training events as needed. Maintain professional customer relationships while representing client in the field. Qualifications Required Technical degree or equivalent experience in: Electrical Technology Industrial Maintenance Agricultural Systems Mechanical Technology Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience troubleshooting motors, actuators, relays, sensors, and control systems. Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Experience with poultry, swine, dairy, or livestock production systems. Knowledge of agricultural ventilation principles. Familiarity with environmental controllers (Rotem, Chore-Time, AP, etc.). Experience with variable-speed motors, EC motors, and ventilation controls. Understanding of airflow, static pressure, and ventilation performance testing. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
