Are you a skilled technician with expertise in heavy diesel, electrical, hydraulics, and forklifts? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our next Local Service Technician. What sets this role apart is the chance to work for the largest inventoried forklift dealership in the state of Idaho while also operating locally here in the Treasure Valley. This position will report directly to the Field Foreman. The Service Technician will be responsible for leveraging their extensive training and experience to autonomously diagnose, assess costs, and effectively repair a diverse range of equipment on a daily basis. This entails diligently adhering to manufacturer guidelines for preventive maintenance, executing oil and hydraulic fluid changes, conducting both major and minor repairs, and identifying signs of wear and breakage that necessitate servicing. Moreover, the individual will provide direct recommendations to customers based on their findings.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulics, and Forklift repairs and diagnosis experience is preferred. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening. Must have a valid driver license and be insurable with no SR-22 requirements. Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably in a similar work environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and safety procedures. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety guidelines at all times. Benefits!
