In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of kitchen equipment, including refrigeration units, ovens, dishwashers, and ventilation systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as refrigeration systems, ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and ventilation hoods using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend appliance lifespan. Install new kitchen appliances and assist with assembly or setup as needed. Read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical schematics, and system wiring for accurate troubleshooting. Communicate clearly with customers to explain repairs, provide maintenance advice, and ensure satisfaction. Maintain detailed service logs, work orders, and inventory records for all field activities. Operate box trucks or delivery vehicles safely to transport parts and equipment between locations. Requirements Proven experience in appliance repair or as a service technician within a commercial or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, HVAC components, electrical wiring, and equipment repair. Familiarity with assembly of commercial kitchen appliances and related mechanical systems. Valid driver's license with delivery driver experience preferred; comfortable operating box trucks or similar vehicles. Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions. Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals effectively. Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work, refrigeration, HVAC systems, and general field service operations. Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills. Education and/ or Experience EPA Universal Certification a plus but not mandatory Previous HVAC (Refrigeration) , and electrical experience preferred. Computer, tablet, and phone skills. Required Experience General knowledge of Commercial kitchen equipment is a plus. Electrical, mechanical, and maintenance experience required.
