Non-Exempt About the Position As a premier producer of advanced industrial equipment and CNC machinery, our organization is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician. You will be tasked with the setup, upkeep, and repair of our equipment at client locations. Success in this role demands a blend of technical proficiency in electro-mechanical systems and CNC controls, paired with a proactive, service-oriented mindset that ensures our clients receive top-tier support. Core Duties Travel to client facilities to identify and fix equipment problems, conduct repairs, provide programming assistance, and train operators. Manage the installation and commissioning of machinery, ensuring precise alignment, calibration, and full system integration. Execute routine maintenance tasks to help extend equipment longevity and improve overall operational reliability for our clients. Provide rapid response to emergency service requests to help reduce client downtime and maintain productivity. Offer technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance via phone or remote connection when not traveling. Document all service activities and diagnostic findings to provide actionable technical insights to our engineering department. Adhere strictly to all internal, client-specific, and industry-standard safety protocols. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested that align with your professional skill set. Required Qualifications Technical degree (Associate or Bachelor) preferred, or 3-5 years of direct experience troubleshooting CNC industrial machinery. Exceptional customer service skills to foster strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external clients. Clear and professional communication skills suitable for interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization. Proven capability to analyze and understand complex mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and PLC logic. Proficiency in standard office software including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Flexibility to thrive in dynamic work settings while managing shifting priorities and unexpected operational challenges. Readiness to travel up to 90% of the time across a multi-state territory via air or ground transport. Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving history. Current passport or the ability to secure one for potential international travel. Capacity to manage authorized travel-related costs in line with corporate reimbursement guidelines. Physical and Operational Demands Ability to navigate and move throughout various client and company work environments. Capacity to maintain focus and effectively organize multiple concurrent projects. Physical ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with the capacity to lift up to 70 lbs when necessary. Frequent manual dexterity for operating tools and performing intricate mechanical tasks. Strong visual acuity, including depth perception and the ability to see at both close and far distances. Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor while working under pressure.
