Talento Search Group has an opening for a Field Service Technician in Itasca, Illinois. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is about 70,000-90,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a traveling position with most weekends at home; most trips last 3-4 days. This position will require travel and overnight stays.

Position Summary:

Provide customer support in person and by phone.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and timely phone support. Calibrate and repair equipment at customer sites within the assigned region. Determines labor and spare parts required on-site repairs. Makes recommendations for parts replacement as a preventative measure. Prioritizes open cases and machine repairs accordingly. Promote service contracts, upgrades, spare parts, and preventive maintenance agreements to clients.

Experience Needed:

Minimum of 3 years experience with skills in customer service, training, installing and repairing various models of industrial micro-processor controlled equipment MS-Office and general personal computer knowledge Must be able to read and comprehend electrical schematics and drawing. Good oral and written communication skills Must have a strong mechanical aptitude. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail when inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing units to ensure the work is accurate and complete. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent travel.
