The US team works closely with engineering, project management, and development teams based in Germany within a global matrix organization. About the Role pro-beam is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support machine installations, startup activities, troubleshooting, and commissioning support for highly specialized industrial production equipment across North America. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial automation, machinery, mechatronics, electromechanical systems, or field service environments who enjoy working directly on machines and solving technical problems in real production settings. Instead, the role focuses on: supporting machine startup and commissioning activities troubleshooting machine and automation-related issues understanding industrial systems end-to-end combining electrical troubleshooting with mechanical system understanding New hires are supported through onboarding, training, and collaborative field assignments before gradually taking on more independent responsibilities over time. This is a highly hands-on technical role focused on industrial automation equipment, machine startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning support — not general facilities maintenance. Key Responsibilities Support machine installation, startup, and commissioning activities at customer sites and internally Troubleshoot industrial automation and machine-related issues during commissioning and service cases Support PLC and HMI troubleshooting and targeted adjustments as needed (Siemens / TIA Portal preferred) Work directly on industrial machinery and electromechanical systems in customer production environments Support customer training on machine operation and system functionality Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams in the US and Germany Support technical documentation and continuous system improvements Assist with diagnosing machine-level and system-level issues across electrical and mechanical components What pro beam is Looking For 2-5 years of hands-on experience in: field service industrial machinery automation mechatronics commissioning support machine building electromechanical troubleshooting Basic to intermediate PLC experience required; Siemens / TIA Portal preferred Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial automation environments Mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly on industrial equipment Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to learn Ability to travel for customer projects across North America Customer-oriented and comfortable working in team-based technical environments Why Join pro beam Opportunity to grow into commissioning and advanced troubleshooting responsibilities over time Exposure to highly specialized industrial systems used in aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing Collaborative US/German engineering environment Hands-on work with complex industrial machinery and automation systems Long-term technical growth opportunity within a global industrial technology company

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
