Field Service Technician Location:
Willowbrook, IL Job Type:
Full-Time, Direct Hire Schedule:
40+ hours/week; occasional evenings/weekends based on project needs
Travel:
Approximately 25-35% domestic travel
Compensation:
$58,000-$75,000 annually

Health, dental and vision insurance options, paid time off, paid holidays, and additional incentives based on position level and job specifics Position OverviewWe are seeking a Field Service Technician with a strong electrical/electronics background to support the testing, assembly, deployment, installation, and maintenance of advanced security technology solutions. When traveling, you will work directly at customer and project sites providing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support. When working from the Willowbrook facility, you will help test and validate finished products and systems prior to shipment to customers, ensuring they meet quality and performance requirements. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys working with electrical and electronic components, troubleshooting complex systems, and interacting with customers. A mechanical background is helpful, but the primary focus is electrical/electronic systems rather than machinery or mechanical equipment. Key ResponsibilitiesTest and validate completed electrical/electronic systems prior to shipmentInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security technology solutions in the fieldDiagnose electrical/electronic issues and replace or repair components as neededAssemble and configure systems using technical documentation and design drawingsProvide onsite technical and customer support during field visitsMaintain accurate testing, service, repair, and maintenance recordsCollaborate with internal technical teams to ensure successful project completionTravel approximately 25-35% to customer and project sites
QualificationsRequired:
Hands-on experience with electrical and/or electronic systems and componentsExperience troubleshooting electrical/electronic issuesAbility to read and understand technical documentation, schematics, or design drawingsComfortable using hand tools and electrical test equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyCustomer-focused, self-motivated, and willing to learn
Preferred:
Field service or installation experienceExperience with low-voltage electrical systems, security systems, CCTV, or similar technologiesExperience testing finished electrical/electronic productsIndustrial or manufacturing environment experienceMechanical aptitude is a plusWhy Join?
